We're Here to Serve You!
Staying healthy and being HIV-positive isn't just about taking the right medications; it's about dealing with family and friends, school and work, boyfriends and girlfriends. It's about your whole life.
The Downtown Youth Clinic is here to help.
Here's a short description of what we do. Look through the rest of the pages in this section to find out more and meet some of the people at the DYC.

- Medical Care Services include all of the services normally provided by a doctor, including routine checkups, treatments, lab work and hospital visits. We treat any medical condition you might have, not just your HIV.
- Treatment Support Services help you understand how your medications work, how to deal with side effects, how to eat well and whatever else it takes to make your treatment fit into your life.
- Community Services work with you to plan for the future, learn about yourself, make things better for everyone, and educate your communities. This type of support is an important part in the healing process. It's a place where you can give back to your community what may not have been given to you.
- Social Support Services connect you to resources and programs, legal and financial assistance, counseling, housing and jobs. Social support can help you talk to your parents or friends about difficult situations and make your life a little easier.
- Peer Advocacy Services help you get a ride to an appointment, provide an ear you can talk to, help you get answers to your questions and help you stay in touch with medical care. Our peer advocates are here to help out wherever and whenever they can.
